November 2022
Do you know what happens when you donate to Housing Unlimited?

You empower people at a vulnerable time in their lives, and in so doing you strengthen the entire community.
This year, your support of any amount is particularly important as we expand our reach by purchasing FOUR new homes in Montgomery County. All four new homes will be conveniently located near employment opportunities, grocery stores, support services and public transportation.
The year 2022 is a GREAT year to invest in housing because when you give $500 or more to HUI you are eligible for Maryland tax credits! If you or your business has a Maryland tax liability, please consider a donation to HUI and you will receive a Maryland tax credit in an amount equal to 50% of your donation! Please contact to sign up for the tax credits.
For 28 years, Housing Unlimited has provided affordable, independent housing for adults in mental health recovery in Montgomery County. We promote independence and recovery by providing an affordable and comfortable home. With the peace of mind of knowing that their housing is secure, our tenants can focus on their health, employment, education, and other life goals and aspirations.

We provide shared housing: Three-bedroom townhouses and two-bedroom condominiums. We rent our houses to tenants at affordable rates that are capped to encourage employment while still maintaining a sense a security. HUI’s Extra-Measure Property Management Program provides education and training to Housing Unlimited tenants regarding critical steps that tenants must take to maintain their housing. Thanks to supporters like you, we currently have 86 homes, providing stability to 230+ tenants throughout Montgomery County, Maryland.

Housing Unlimited must continue to acquire new homes to meet the needs of adults in mental health recovery who are seeking a permanent, affordable, and independent place to live. This year, with your help, we plan to expand our operations, including the purchase of FOUR NEW HOMES!

When YOU donate to Housing Unlimited, individuals get and keep housing, stay healthy and forge meaningful relationships with their housemates, co-workers and neighbors. Housing Unlimited tenants are then in a position to give back and contribute to healthier and stronger communities throughout Montgomery County.

If you’ve ever felt joy after making someone’s life better through an act of kindness, be assured that by donating to Housing Unlimited this giving season, you will positively impact another person’s life and thereby uplift the entire community!

Thank you for taking this journey with us in 2023 by making a generous gift to Housing Unlimited today.

Welcome Home Baskets:
Help us turn a House into a Home!

With your help, when our tenants move into their homes for the first time, they will receive baskets filled with basic household necessities like cleaning supplies, a laundry basket and a bath towel. This is our way of truly welcoming our new tenants into the next chapter of their lives. Feel free to leave a special note of encouragement with your basket, too!

You can be a part of this new initiative by putting together baskets yourself, or with the help of your neighbors, co-workers, or members of any organization to which you may belong. If you can't assemble baskets you can still help by purchasing items through our Amazon Wish List and we'll find basket assemblers!

This is a great opportunity to get creative while being practical, and it will surely bring a smile to many faces!
