Next Step! Prepare for Technical Training

Access to the MAC is a requirement to participate in MAC Technical Training. If you don’t have access to the MAC, please work to establish it before Technical Training begins.

If you missed MAC Access training, it was recorded and can be accessed here: Navigators and EAPs.

Prepare to take MAC Technical by ensuring you:

  • Have a Navigator ID or EAP ID. All Assisters, including their Leadership Contacts, MUST have an Assister ID
  • Completed PY23 Certification Training on the Marketplace Learning Management System (MLMS)
  • Are marked ‘Certified’ on your organization’s roster of Assisters
  • Possess a REGTAP Account
  • Have finalized MAC Access

Tips! MAC Access

  • MAC Access Requests are processed in approximately 5 business days.
  • If you have submitted a MAC Access Request and have questions, contact FFMAssisterCommunity@cms.hhs.gov.
  • If you never received the MAC Access Training or MAC Access invitation, it’s possibly because you:
  • Are not ‘Certified’ on your organization’s Assister Roster. Ensure that you:
  • Have an Navigator ID.
  • Completed Navigator Certification Training on MLMS and have a certificate.
  • Are marked ‘Certified’ on your organization’s Assister Roster.
  • Don’t have a REGTAP account.
  • All trainings, resources, and guidance for the MAC and Medicaid Unwinding coverage transitions will be issued to ‘Certified’ Assisters via REGTAP.
  • Important! Have a REGTAP account with an email address NOT in CMS Records.
  • Your REGTAP account email address must be the same as the email address on your organization’s Assister Roster and IDM Portal Account.
  • As a reminder, the email addresses used in REGTAP, IDM Portal, and Assister Roster should be a business email address for your Assister Organization. If you need more assistance, please contact:
  • REGTAP: REGTAP Registrar (1-800-257-9520)
  • IDM Portal: IDM Portal Account
  • In establishing MAC Access, use the same account you used to complete certification training on the IDM Portal. Do NOT create another account if you already have one; this will delay your MAC Access request.
