Looking for Giving Opportunities?
We have a variety of suggestions for you!
As soon as November arrives, we know you will turn your thoughts to ways you can give back to your community. Perhaps you are looking to make a financial donation. Perhaps you are looking for a project to engage in with your family and/or friends. Read on to learn some typical...and some more creative ways you can help Housing Unlimited!
Government Employees:
Consider donating through the CFC and
the Maryland Charity Campaign

As a government employee you can donate through the CFC and the Maryland Charity Campaign. We are available to send a speaker to talk about housing or mental health related issues in person or virtually. If you decide to donate to Housing Unlimited through workplace giving, be sure to share our mission with your colleagues too!
World Bank Group's Community Connections Campaign

Do you work for the World Bank? If so, you have a unique opportunity to make double the difference in someone's life! You can donate through World Bank's Community Connection Campaign and World Bank will match your donation! Want to make even more of an impact? Request a speaker's slot for Housing Unlimited. Housing Unlimited CEO Abe Schuchman will be excited to share about Housing Unlimited's mission with your colleagues, and answer questions about the state of affordable housing.

Donate to Housing Unlimited and Receive a Maryland Tax Credit Equal to 50% of Your Donation!

Hurry: Offer ends November 30, 2022!

Are you thinking about donating to Housing Unlimited? If so, we have great news for you! If you make a donation to us by November 30, 2022, we can offer you Maryland tax credits through the Maryland Community Investment Tax Credit Program (CITC)!

CITC supports nonprofits by awarding Maryland tax credits to individuals and businesses who make donations. When you make a gift of $500 or more to Housing Unlimited, you may be eligible to receive a Maryland tax credit equal to 50% of the value of your gift! The credit may be taken against your Maryland corporate income tax, personal income tax, insurance premiums tax or public service company franchise tax.

Before you donate or if you have any questions, contact Heidi Webb at hwebb@housingunlimited.org.
We'd like to put YOU in the Spotlight!

National Philanthropy Day is November 17th and we hope you will help us with a fun project! Send us a quick video about why you give to Housing Unlimited and we'll share it on social media throughout the day on November 17th. The video with the most likes, shares and all together engagement will win a Housing Unlimited shirt! This is your chance to shine and encourage others to shine with you, and perhaps win a shirt!

Please send your videos to Nina Blecher at nblecher@housingunlimited.org by November 10th.
Welcome Home Baskets:
Help us turn a House into a Home!

With your help, when our tenants move into their homes for the first time, they will receive baskets filled with basic household necessities like cleaning supplies, a laundry basket and a bath towel. This is our way of truly welcoming our new tenants into the next chapter of their lives. Feel free to leave a special note of encouragement with your basket, too!

You can be a part of this new initiative by putting together baskets yourself, or with the help of your neighbors, co-workers, or members of any organization to which you may belong.

This is a great opportunity to get creative while being practical, and it will surely bring a smile to many faces!

Learn more by clicking on this Welcome Home Baskets Flyer. If you have questions, please reach out to Heidi Webb at hwebb@housingunlimited.org.

Our Annual Report will be out very soon!
