Core News:
Did you know that Americans spent $3.1 billion last year on Halloween candy? That would feed over 20 million children through Blessings in a Backpack. And get this... 9 million American children are food insecure.

Kind of a scary thought, isn't it?
There's more than enough candy but not enough food.

This Halloween, ditch the candy and help us feed the kids this weekend!
How? Put on your favorite costume BUT instead of asking for candy, trick-or-treat for Blessings in a Backpack! Ask for small bills and loose change to help feed the kids in your community.

When you get home, dump the money and count it — much like you did with candy when you were a kid and donate the money online. Click here to get started. On average, $150 will feed a child each weekend of this school year.
