Covenant Care hosts dementia event at HCHR
Covenant Care will host a Virtual Dementia Tour on Wednesday May 8 at Henry County Health & Rehab. The Virtual Dementia Tour is a teaching tool that simulates the dementia experience and allows caregivers to better understand the physical and mental challenges faced by those with dementia. Tours will be by appointment only from 10am-12pm at Henry County Health & Rehab, 212 Dothan Road, Abbeville. Registration is required. on the Square

"As Is" Southern Rock Band
The HEART of Headland downtown revitalization group will host another "Under The Oaks" concert on Friday, May 24. Under the Oaks is a free live music series in the downtown square every fourth Friday through September 2019.

The band "As Is" (Mel Williams and friends) will play Southern rock, country and more on Friday, May 24, 6-9pm. Dine at a local restaurant, visit a food truck and shop the square while listening to awesome live music. Bring your own chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of music under the oaks in Headland's beautiful downtown square.

Headland is part of the Main Street Alabama Network and is working hard on the application to become a Main Street Alabama Designated City. If you love Headland and want to help our community please plan to attend the next meeting on Monday, May 6, at 6 pm at You Never Know's Party Place next to Misty's Salon on the square . Please come if you can and invite others who may be interested in getting involved!

The Grille and Oyster Bar
Welcome to Headland and to the Chamber of Commerce! The Grille and Oyster Bar celebrated their grand opening with a ribbon-cutting on April 17. John Craft and Karen Carter opened up the new business in the former 3 Pigs location, 16352 U.S. Hwy 431 S in Headland They offer seafood, steaks, burgers and more. Timeless Strands Salon
The Chamber celebrated the opening of Timeless Strands Salon during their open house on April 18. Congratulations to Sandra Lee, owner of the new salon that opened in the old Taylor Barber Shop at 40 E. Church Street in downtown Headland.
