Dear friend,

As part of the Jewish Federation of Ottawa's ongoing efforts to keep you informed on what your incredible generosity is accomplishing in our community, here is a Report from the Field from The Bess and Moe Greenberg Family Hillel Lodge explaining how your gift is keeping our beloved seniors safe during these difficult times.
“The Bess and Moe Greenberg Family Hillel Lodge is extremely grateful to all the donors to the Jewish Federation of Ottawa’s Emergency Campaign and the overwhelming generosity and support of the Jewish community.

These funds have helped us purchase critical personal protective equipment including masks, face shields, protective gowns and latex gloves.

The donations allowed us to hire seven full-time and seven part-time personal support workers until the end of the year. During our outbreak, we were able to place the two residents who were infected with COVID-19 in a special isolation unit specifically set-up to contain the spread of COVID-19. The funding also supported important infection control measures such as additional surface cleaning.

The generosity of the community has made it possible for the Lodge to put in place important preventative measures related to COVID-19 and to actively contain the spread during an outbreak.

Thank you all very much.”
