Presenter: Dr. Susan Noonan
Physician and author of When Someone You Know Has Depression: Words to Say and Things To Do, Dr. Susan Noonan is a medical doctor and certified Peer Specialist about to begin a new job as a Certified Peer Specialist in the Department of Psychiatry at a Boston teaching hospital. Her role will include working with patients, advising staff and faculty, and teaching residents and medical students about depression and Recovery. For the past eight years, Dr. Noonan has also volunteered her time at the Maxwell V. Blum Cancer Resource Room of The Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA, counseling patients and helping them find information. In 2006 she was presented with an esteemed MGH Volunteer Service Award in recognition for her exemplary service.
