Bill and Gail Gettings welcome you to their home for a Rustic Italian Dinner. This four-course meal, complete with antipasti plates, homemade ravioli with basil pesto sauce, soul warming soup, focaccia bread, and roasted pork and vegetables, is thoughtfully paired with wine and spirits to tempt all your senses. Cap the evening off with homemade pastries, fresh fruits, coffee and a digestive. Bill and Gail will share their love of cooking and entertaining, as they invite you to join them in the preparation and presentation of this gourmet treat in a lovely rural setting.

County Commissioner Tom Murtaugh will give a private, behind the scenes tour of the historic Tippecanoe County Courthouse. Enjoy a unique perspective of this local icon, including a rare glimpse of the restored clock tower and have the opportunity to see the unrivaled view of downtown Lafayette and holiday lights from the top of the dome! Join Scott Frankenberger in his potter studio for an afternoon of drink, nibbles and demonstration of his craft. Scott has been spinning his magic at the potter’s wheel since 1974, developing a trail of collectors spanning the globe. You will have the chance to see past and current work, learn about his techniques, and try your own hand at decorating an individual plate. The  LUM Immigration Clinic  has several volunteer opportunities — and is especially grateful for volunteers who speak Spanish. Here is information on volunteering with Port of Hope :

  • SET UP - Wednesday , November 7 from 5-7 p.m. (2 hours) - help set up the room for the event
  • FOOD RUNNERSThursday, November 8 from 3-5:30 p.m. (2.5 hours) - pick up food from various restaurants in the area, deliver to Lafayette Brewing Co. & transport food from loading dock to event kitchen.
  • STAFF EVENT Thursday, November 8 from 5-8 p.m. (3 hours) - help staff the event by assisting with the following, last minute set up, registration, answering questions and giving directions, mingling with guests, light housekeeping, troubleshooting, and staffing food, activity, and information tables
  • CLEAN UPThursday, November 8 from 8-9 p.m. (1 hour) - help with break down or clean up
