Cottonwood Shores, Texas, March 24th, 2021: Hozhoni on the Hill, the Austin area’s only combination wedding venue and glamping retreat, announces their Open House on April 3rd, 2021, 12:00pm to 8:00pm. Couples are invited to tour Hozhoni, take photographs, and visit with local vendors.
In addition to a Dream Wedding Giveaway, every couple that tours Hozhoni on April 3rd will receive a voucher for 25% off a future wedding package.
Hozhoni on the Hill, a destination wedding venue and glamping retreat, will debut Chapel Hozhoni along with the world’s first “Glampominium” – three stacked shipping containers that house six glamping accommodations to include three luxury safari tents, two container suites, and the StarDome - a 16-foot clear room thirty-feet in the air to sleep under the stars!
Hozhoni is a Navajo word meaning Balance-Being-Beauty. The Hozhoni hilltop has been a sacred gathering place for thousands of years. Every detail celebrates the Four Elements: Earth, Water, Fire and Sky. The line between nature and architecture blurs in weaving walkways, living landscapes, native stone and unbound vistas of Lakes LBJ and Marble Falls.
Chapel Hozhoni is designed by Marley Porter, the architect behind some of the most interesting, and successful, wedding venues in the Austin area, to include Chapel Dulcinea, One World Theatre, and Barr Mansion.
Marley designed Chapel Hozhoni as an homage to the natives that settled the area long ago. The chapel is a fabric and steel tipi that hovers over a giant stone monolith – The Rock of Faith. The chapel arches open to an uncompromising full circle view of water, rock and sky. Adjacent to the chapel is the pavilion, a place where a hundred and more family and friends can gather in celebration under extended arms of shade and shelter. Generous fabric stretches over dining, dancing and music. Views open in every direction from atop this private paradise; no cars, no foreign noise, no nosey neighbors ... a mountain-top of earth, water, fire and sky.
A short walk from Chapel Hozhoni is The Glampominium. The Glampominium at Hozhoni consists of three stacked shipping containers resting on a cliff overlooking Lakes LBJ and Marble Falls. The bottom floor houses a luxury bride’s suite, a place to prepare for that special day. The second floor is the 40-foot “Box of Curves” – a luxury suite with curved walls and a barrel-vaulted ceiling – inside a shipping container!
On top of each of the three containers is a 16 x 46-foot private deck. The second-floor decks will hold three safari tents – luxury suites with king size mattresses, air conditioning, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker – all the amenities of a five-star hotel room. The tents are on private decks overlooking Lakes LBJ and Marble Falls. Each deck has a private bathroom with shower as well as an outdoor shower and outdoor tub to soak under the stars. Also on each deck is a fireplace and seating to take in the five billion stars at night.
At the very top of the Glampominium, 30-feet in the air, is the StarDome Suite. The StarDome is a sixteen-foot clear dome to sleep under the stars at night. Hozhoni is located in a “dark sky community” – adding to exceptional star gazing from your bed – the StarDome is a true Five Billion Star accommodation!
The StarDome also has its’ private deck with indoor/outdoor shower, outdoor tub, seating and fireplace.
Hozhoni on the Hill is located in Cottonwood Shores, between Marble Falls and Horseshoe Bay, about an hour from downtown Austin. The venue is available for weddings, yoga retreats, family reunions, and other gatherings.
The venue may be reserved for half-day, full-day, or weekend use with rates starting at $3,995. The Glampominium is available to rent as a single unit, sleeping up to fourteen in six luxury accommodations, or each unit may be rented individually with rates starting at $145/night.
In addition to the Glampominium, Hozhoni will have several cliff side accommodations, to include funky A- frame tents with a transformer wall, and hanging over the cliff, suspended and connected with a rope bridge, The Orbs at Hozhoni – one-of-a-kind cliff-hanging, sleeping orbs.
Hozhoni will open with 11 accommodations, with plans to add up to 22 additional accommodations. Hozhoni sits on 8.5 acres or prime Hill Country real estate – plans for Phase II include a holistic spa - and Phase III includes a “Bigger than Tiny” home community of 18 homes.
