You are invited to a special evening in support of Benjamin’s House and our mission to help those experiencing homelessness in our community.

The 2nd Annual Benjamin’s House Gala: Jeans, Gems & Jackpots is more than just an event—it’s an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while enjoying a night filled with excitement, entertainment, and connection. Your presence and support directly contribute to our ability to provide shelter, stability, and hope to individuals and families in need.

With your help, we can continue to grow our mission and serve more people each year. This evening brings our community together to celebrate generosity, resilience, and the power of giving.

It’s also a night to have fun. Immerse yourself in the excitement of silent and live auctions, diamond and gun boards, meat raffles, mingling, and lively entertainment. Dress as casual as denim or as classy as diamonds—your style is welcome.

We would love for you to join us. Reserve a table of 10 or 8, or secure individual seats for you and a friend. Please don’t wait to reserve your table—it’s sure to be a night to remember.

Why We Need You: Gratitude as We Close Out 2025

As we close out 2025, we are filled with gratitude for the incredible support of our donors, volunteers, business partners, and community members. Because of you, Benjamin’s House continues to be a place of safety, stability, and hope for individuals and families facing homelessness, mental health challenges, domestic violence, and unexpected crises.

Thanks to your generosity, this year through the end of November we have:

  • Operated at full capacity with 20 shelter rooms
  • Maintained five Continued Care Housing units at full capacity, with plans to expand to six units by year’s end (updates coming soon!)
  • Served more than 172 individuals and 46 children
  • Responded to over 589 unique calls for shelter, with the highest need being eviction, followed by chronic homelessness, reentry after incarceration, family disputes, domestic abuse, and the inability to afford or find housing

Behind every number is a real person—someone seeking safety, stability, and a chance to move forward. One mother shared:

“When I arrived at Benjamin’s House, I had little to nothing — no vehicle, no job, and no place to live. In just five months, my life completely changed.

I found a job, a vehicle, and a home for my daughters and me.

Benjamin’s House kept me accountable with daily chores and a curfew, which helped me build structure and focus on what I needed to do. There was always someone available to help — with applications, community resources, or a word of encouragement when I needed it most.”

Stories like hers remind us why this work we do matters. It reminds us why we have two separate programs and that when one is doing well in-shelter, but still has a barrier to finding affordable housing, we can still offer support with our Continued Care Housing Program. This program helps increase the long-term success of our clients. Her journey, like so many others reminds us that with stability, structure, and support, lasting change is possible.

While more than 60% of those we serve come from Barron County, we also welcome individuals and families from surrounding areas, with Washburn County representing the next highest need.

Your support makes this impact possible, but the continued demand for shelter, housing, and case management reminds us how critical your involvement remains.

Attending the Benjamin’s House Gala, volunteering, donating, or sharing our mission helps ensure we can continue providing life-changing support to those in crisis. To learn more or get involved, visit www.Benjamins-House.org.

Thank you for standing with us and helping create brighter futures for so many.

With gratitude,

Jenifer
