"You're Going to Need a Bigger Handbook" by: Scott Cruz
Several new Illinois employment laws go into effect on January 1, 2020:  e.g., increases to the Illinois minimum wage, new time record requirements for exempt employees; recreational marijuana in the workplace; and mandatory sexual harassment training, among others. Scott will provide insight on these new laws and how employee handbooks will need to revised and/or updated.

Megan will describe the characteristics of an active shooter incident, potential indicators of pre-incident reporting purposes, and an overview on protective measures you and your facility can take to enhance preparedness activities through the Department of Homeland Security’s Hometown Security model. This presentation also includes training for how to respond if you should you ever find yourself in an active shooter incident.
