The Temporary Flood Defense Solutions Demonstration Event at Rice University

This free event will take place in the Greenbriar Parking Lot at Rice University. Parking on-site for $3. Credit card only.
Registration is required.
You are invited to a demonstration of temporary flood defense solutions to protect key locations and assets. This event will showcase several flood protection solutions developed by the Dutch company, Boxbarrier, and Hydra International, combining 14 years of proven concepts in temporary flood defense systems.
Local and international hydrology experts, including SSPEED Director and Rice Professor Phil Bedient, NBSO chief representative Dr. Bee Kothuis, and Professor Bas Jonkman of Delft University and IDRT, will present and discuss advances in flood management and demonstrate solutions. 

The event is of interest to professionals from the government and private sector, academics, and students in the field of water & flood management, emergency response, and infrastructure resiliency.
