You’re invited to join the Summer Reading Club 2025! School’s out, and the Squamish Public Library is ready to launch a season of stories and creativity for kids aged 5–14.


The Summer Reading Club (SRC) is a free program that encourages kids to keep reading all summer long—with exciting book recommendations, weekly events, and the chance to earn a medal!

Pick up your reading record, enjoy fun crafts and activities like face painting and bookmark making, and get ready for a summer full of imagination and fun.


Whether your child is a bookworm or just discovering the joy of reading, SRC is a great way to stay engaged, curious, and connected all summer long.

Silence in the Library: An Escape Event!

Friday / June 27 / 5:30 - 7:30 pm


Teens, do you have what it takes to escape? Solve puzzles, unlock mysteries, and beat the clock—all in total silence! Gather your team or go solo, but beware…the minions are watching.

 

Drag Storytime With Acacia and MacGayver

Saturday / June 28 / 11:30 - 12:30 pm


A joyful family event with stories, creativity, and self-expression. Hosted by Sea to Sky Allies with support from the Squamish Community Foundation.

 

Community Writing Group

Wednesday / July 09 / 5:30 - 7:30 pm


Join the library's writing group! Drop-in to the library for a monthly writing group for writers of all abilities.

In honour of Indigenous History Month, explore resources that deepen understanding of Indigenous peoples, cultures, and histories. The Squamish Public Library offers materials for all ages, including titles on the Indian Residential School experience and the ongoing Truth and Reconciliation process.
