This past Saturday, June 20, Samaritas Nation celebrated
World Refugee Day
and the many ways in which our New American services have enriched the lives of refugees.
In the last several years, the primary group of refugees we have helped to resettle have been from the Congo, it has been our privilege to serve refugees as
“An expression of the love of Christ”
who have come to us from around the world to escape war, persecution and terror in their home countries for 71 years. We have been grateful for the opportunity to welcome and serve refugees through our staff, volunteers, supporting churches and many donors.
One of the many ways we seek to provide heartfelt and excellent service to refugees is to help others learn about the critical need for this service and to help lead in this space throughout the state. One such example is the New American Town Hall that we hosted this past Thursday. To gain a sense of the value, influence and advocacy Samaritas leads in this regard, I am confident you will enjoy and be proud as you watch this presentation:
