Doig mined his hardscrabble, rural Montana childhood to create an iconic and best-selling body of literary work. His poetic portrayals of rugged landscapes and beloved characters make him one of the most celebrated writers of the American West.
The event is co-hosted by Montana PBS, Montana State University Library, and The MSU Ivan Doig Center for the Study of Lands and Peoples of the North American West.
