"Ask Thank Tell: A Practical Approach
to Congregational Stewardship"
Congregational Workshops
April 11 & 25

March 18, 2021

Greetings Rostered and Lay Leaders!

We are announcing a stewardship opportunity for the ministries of the Pacifica Synod! A two-part workshop is planed for Sunday, April 11th and 25th from 5:00 to 6:15 p.m. (PDT) each evening via Zoom. This opportunity features Bishop Jim Hazelwood (New England Synod) and the author of the book Ask, Thank, Tell, Chick Lane. We hope you will plan to participate with a group of leaders from your ministry. Your ministry will have many benefits from participating including your opportunity to utilize the tools to draft an annual stewardship program.

I am a firm believer that stewardship is much more than a program. Stewardship is a lifestyle. By that I mean, that stewardship is something we participate in every day. It begins with getting up in the morning and the activities we do throughout the day. How do we manage or steward the choices we make? How do we steward our time and our resources and the talents gifted to us from God?

There is a small cost to participate in this program. The fee is $100 per congregation (no matter how many participants). As your partner in ministry, the Pacifica Synod will share in this cost by contributing one-half the cost. This lowers the congregation cost to just $50. The fee will be given to the New England Synod to their general ministry fund.

Please see the additional information about this event listed below. This includes instructions for registration. It is important to register in advance and as early as possible. Registration will close on April 8. The Zoom link will be sent out to all registrants as we get closer to the event.

I encourage your participation and a choice to get a head start as we begin to emerge. I want to thank you now for your consideration and participation!

Peace in Christ!
