You're Invited to Join The Institute's Dream Campaign
Dear Friends,

We hope you and your loved ones are all safe and well.

These times deserve our 100% support for our children. Dr. King challenged us to respond to the Urgency of Now! The Institute is committed to whatever we can for our multicultural youth who are facing an uncertain future in today's virtual reality of education. As the new school year begins, we want to give them a little hope - and encourage them to dream and work towards a better future.
Last Friday we launched the Institute's Dream Campaign with a video narrated by Walter Cronkite of Dr. King's I Have a Dream speech and U.S.Congressman John Lewis at the Institute's event on Martha's Vineyard.  Mr. Cronkite's dream was to create a TV series on the book to educate people about the issues, so they would be better prepared to vote for those who would fight for their future.
Stone Soup for the World: Life-Changing Stories of Everyday Heroes features 100 stories of people who overcame obstacles to change their lives, their communities and the world. People who with courage, dedication, and resilience paved the way for us. These stories remind us that each one of us has special gifts - and when we share them with others, we can build a better world. In Mr. Cronkite's honor, we are producing Hero Reports that bring these stories to life.
Our new social media team produced a Welcome Video - to gift this e-book to all young people for free for the month of September. On Friday, we will feature the first of the video series Youth Dreams highlighting young people who've read these stories and worked with the Institute to become leaders in their communities from Martha's Vineyard to Hawaii, Holyoke, Oakland, Providence, Vieques and Virgin Gorda. We are very proud of them and their accomplishments.

Next week our press release will announce our Back-To-School Campaign. We will gift our Virtual Toolkit (books & curriculum in English & Spanish) to all teachers, parents, mentors -- and invite them to join our new Stone Soup Book Club, a multicultural learning pod so all children are inspired to stay true to their dreams.

Thank you for all you are doing during these challenging times. Feel free to share this with the young people in your lives - as well as educators, mentors and parents of young people.

We invite you to follow us on our new Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn channels -- and spread the word and bring a little hope -- and a Call to Action -- to the world.
