Before joining Alaska Airlines, Shaunta was the director of global aviation policy for The Boeing Company and manager
of Government Affairs where she worked 12 years developing and executing strategies to shape local, national, and international public policy to support aviation growth and business goals.
Shaunta earned a bachelor’s degree from Seattle University and an Executive MBA from the University of Washington Michael G. Foster School of Business. She is also a graduate of the World Public Affairs Institute. Shaunta is a recent 2018 graduate of the Deloitte Women OnBoarding program, which takes a business-centered approach to placing women on corporate boards nationwide.
She currently serves on the boards of the Museum of Flight, Museum of Pop Culture (MoPop), Independent Colleges of Washington (ICW), and is Chair of the Board for Port Jobs. She is also a member of the International Association of Women in Aviation.
