We invite you to attend the official celebration for the start of construction on the Lorton Community Center and Library. You may attend in-person or virtually .

The event will be televised on Government Channel 1016 (Cox), and Channel 16 (Verizon/Comcast) and will be streamed at  https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/cableconsumer/channel-16/live-video-stream .

The groundbreaking will also be viewable on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/SupervisorDanStorck/

Please note, if you plan on attending the event in-person, the ceremony will be held observing appropriate social distancing. Attendees are asked to please wear a mask or face covering. Please do not attend if feeling ill or have been around someone who has been ill within the last 14 days.

Parking will be limited  near the site of the event. Streetside parking is available on the access road parallel to Richmond Highway (in front of the Lorton Library). Attendees may also park in the parking lot for the Lorton South Park (Little League field) and cross Richmond (about a 5 minute walk to the event location).
