We are excited to announce our historic partnership with Washington DC-based Interfaith Alliance, the national nonprofit founded in 1994 to advocate for religious freedom and pluralism. Together, we will counter the divisiveness and complexities of this time. We invite you to find join us on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 7 PM at the Coral Gables Congregation United Church of Christ.

We are hosting a keynote address entitled “Mobilizing Against Christian Nationalism” with The Rev. Paul Brandeis Raushenbush, an ordained Baptist Minister and President and CEO of Interfaith Alliance.

Rev. Raushenbush’s address will cover why Christian nationalism is among the greatest threats to American democracy, and how religious pluralism – a distinct and important part of the American identity – can be the best antidote to challenging political and religious extremism.

Raushenbush, a longtime leader in the interfaith movement, is the great-grandson of the first Jewish Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis and great-grandson of Baptist theologian Walter Rauschenbusch, a key figure in the Social Gospel movement.
