An introduction to the history, techniques, and designs of henna will be taught in this hands-on class. Practice the designs of henna and create a henna tattoo on yourself. Henna tattoos are 100% natural and last a few days to a few weeks.

Teens, Are You Ready to Save the Day?
Calling all superheroes (teens) and sidekicks (pre-teens) at the Rockford Branch! Join our league of to learn the process of making your very own comic book. We will come all the steps from drafting to publishing. If you want to attend and have not been to any session prior, here is the agenda! On Apr. 23, we plan on share the updated copy of our rough draft. If everything looks like it is right on track, we will talk about how to publish the comic. Snacks provided.

Sensory Bottles
Join us to make a sensory bottle. Sensory bottles can be used as a calming device by children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, sensory disorders or adults with dementia. Supplies will be provided. You may bring sentimental items to add to your bottle if they can fit in a water bottle and have no sharp edges.

Dry Sand? No! Wet Sand? No! Kinetic Sand? Yes! Round Two
Due to high demand, there is a second chance for those who were not able to attend our December class. What is kinetic sand? Kinetic sand is new kind of sand that anyone can make. It is made from regular sand and a couple other ingredients. From there, you can have a sand that stays nice and packed when untouched, but once you pick it up it just seems to melt in your hands. If this seems like a craft you want to make, come join us at the Rockford Library!
