Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles Hosts Annual Star-Studded Gala to Honor the Los Angeles Rams, AECOM and Thrivent Financial
The Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) 2019 Los Angeles Builders Ball® raised over $900,000 including an exciting live auction and a fund-a-need, which raised close to $200,000 in less than 30 minutes. Habitat LA was pleased to honor AECOM, Thrivent and the Los Angeles Rams, with presenting sponsor City National Bank, and the Pointer Sisters closed out the evening with a special performance.

Habitat LA’s Washington Neighborhood Revitalization
Check out our Washington Neighborhood Revitalization video, which we showcased during our 2019 Los Angeles Builders Ball. Breaking the cycle of poverty requires a response that is broader than just one housing project at a time. We need to lift up whole communities and have a broader impact. Habitat LA plans to invest $25 million to revitalize the Washington Neighborhood, a six square block area in the city of Long Beach. Delta Air Lines Kicked Off 10 th Home Built In Partnership with Habitat LA
Delta Air Lines in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) kicked off their 10th home construction project in Los Angeles on Thursday, September 12 on West 93rd Street. Top executives and over 20 employee volunteers from Delta Air Lines, were on hand to raise the walls on one of our two newest Habitat LA homes.

LA Rams and Habitat LA Team Up to Rebuild Community Devastated by Woolsey Fire
Last month, the Los Angeles Rams teamed up with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) to repair three homes and rebuild a local playground and basketball court in Seminole Springs, a mobile home park in Agoura Hills severely impacted by the Woolsey fire. In addition to Rams staff, players and cheerleaders, the team invited season ticket holders to join them in the volunteer efforts to work alongside local residents. 

Beach Cities Friends Trivia Night Raises Nearly $50,000 for Habitat LA
The 9th annual Beach Cities Friends Trivia Night, held on October 5, 2019, was another huge success, raising nearly $50,000 to help Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA). We are especially thankful for this year’s event sponsors: Los Angeles Ale Works, KAA Design, and The Agency. Seventeen teams competed for the championship trophy, but only one was crowned the winner! 

World Habitat Day 🌎🏠
More than 30 years ago, the United Nations General Assembly took an important step in promoting the idea that everyone deserves a decent place to live by declaring that the first Monday in October would be World Habitat Day. On World Habitat Day, Habitat for Humanity joined the United Nations and organizations around the world in raising awareness and in educating and mobilizing individuals and communities to take action on the current global housing challenge.

Día de los Muertos, Day of the Dead Celebration is on Saturday, November 2 nd
Join us and numerous community partners on Saturday, November 2 nd from 10 am to 2 pm at 14th Street Park in Long Beach (between Pacific and Cedar) for a fun community event to celebrate Día de los Muertos or Day of the Dead ! There will be free snacks, music, live performances, arts and crafts, bounce houses, face painting and more – don’t miss it.

Habitat LA will bring together more than 200 volunteers and veterans in recognition of Veterans Day for our Veterans Build on Friday, November 8, 2019 . This build event will honor the veteran community for their service to our country and will further Habitat LA’s mission of Building a Greater Los Angeles.
