T he Advisory Board is a body of student representative from the publications and media community (just like you!) that aims to support the various student organizations involved in publications and media. We want you hear your voice! Come network with other student orgs and present your needs and concerns with the larger publications and media community.

On behalf of the PMC and the Career Center, thanks for coming out to our Career Connections: Marketing & PR Event! We hope you enjoyed the opportunity to network with professionals in your field and learning more about the PMC's role in the larger publications and media community on campus.

This event was focused on the Marketing and Public Relations professional career field. We had lots of great guest speakers from various marketing, communications, and public relations fields networking with Cal students. (Plus the free food was great!) Thanks for stopping by the PMC's table and learning more about our projects. If you're interested in getting more involved, check out our website!

Introducing the Publications and Media Advisory Board Executive Team!

P&M Board Chair: Spandana Singh
Spandi serves as the Chairperson of the P&M Advisory Board. She is involved with the Berkeley Journal of Asian Studies and is currently the Student Director of the Publications and Media Center. Spandi is a senior double majoring in Development Studies and Media Studies, minoring in Global Poverty & Practice and doing the Certificate in Technology Entrepreneurship

P&M Board Vice Chair: Ellie Rasmussen
Ellie serves as the Vice Chair of the P&M Board and is currently the Project Manager of the Publications and Media Board. She is a senior majoring in Public Health and minoring in LGBT Studies. 

P&M Board Executive Member: Caroline Lee
Caroline is a sophomore studying Sociology. She is passionate about publications and media, and she has recently developed a new found love for social media and entertainment. Caroline is an Arts and Entertainment reporter for the Daily Californian, and loves to cover anything related to hip hop, old school R&B, and fashion. In her spare time, she loves going on food adventures, working out, and petting cute dogs. Her goals for the board revolve around creating more visibility for the publications and media community. Through uniting organizations on campus and providing resources available at the center, Caroli hope to expand the community and facilitate growth. 

P&M Board Executive Member: Rachel Hood
Rachel is a sixth-year graduate student in molecular and cell biology, who is originally from Portland, Oregon. She has been involved with the Berkeley Science Review for over four years, as a writer, editor, and currently as editor in chief. She's excited to learn more about the needs of diverse media organizations and help them get the support they need to thrive.

P&M Board Executive Member: Riley Miller
Riley Miller is a 2nd year intended business and economics major here at Cal. Riley was born and raised in Culver City, CA with blockbuster films practically being made in his backyard. He fell in love with movies and started to involve himself in film production in high school, and continued once he started attending Cal. Riley has dedicated himself to helping the film community at Cal in whatever way he can, and hopes to work in the business side of the film industry upon graduating from this incredible school.
