Our Teaching Kitchen and Training Center will not only serve as the primary packing and distribution center for our program which addresses food insecurity and food access for hundreds of families across the Midlands, it will be a will truly be the epicenter of all FoodShare programs across the state. In our space, medical learners and community members will come together to improve healthcare communication, new partners will be trained to replicate our proven program process, and our Teaching Kitchen will provide hands-on nutrition education opportunities.

FoodShare South Carolina is a network of Hubs across the state with the goal of enhancing the quality of life of families by creating access to fresh affordable food, quality cooking and skills education. Our work revolves around three tenets: community empowerment and engagement, increased financial opportunity, and physical revitalization. FoodShare's program in Columbia is a part of the University of South Carolina School off Medicine Columbia.
