"Jammcard is such an impactful component to what many musicians and artists alike have been looking for. A community, tailored just for all of us, where we can not only network with the best and learn from each other but a platform that can really help open doors for musicians/artists to build and fine-tune their careers. I'm really excited for what will open up here in NY with Jammcard, being that we are so bountiful in numbers and rich with talent here on the east coast!!"
- Lenny The Ox (drummer and musical director) DJ Premiere, Super Duper Kyle, The Lesson GK
Jammcard
, the booming Los Angeles-founded music tech startup ultimately known as the Music Professionals Network and coined the "LinkedIn for musicians" by Forbes, recently announced their expansion to New York City. Founded by Elmo Lovano, the app connects the music community by way of an invite-only social network for vetted pros and highly curated, exclusive event gatherings. Lovano is a well-known drummer and musical director who has worked with Juliette Lewis, Skrillex, and Miley Cyrus, among others.
Jammcard has built a reputation as one of LA's best kept secrets yet simultaneously has become one of the music industry's biggest players since its foundation. Jammcard is everywhere. The app is credited for assembling live bands for some of today's biggest acts, such as Gwen Stefani, Zedd, Maren Morris, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Jason Derulo and Grace VanderWaal, amongst an endless list of today's major touring acts. Over the last year, the startup gained funding from entertainment mogul Quincy Jones and made warm-welcomed expansions to Atlanta and Nashville (see
here in The Tennessean
).
Since inception, Jammcard has been making steady waves in the media, receiving love from
Forbes
,
Billboard
, etc. Even this summer, the veil had been lifted beyond industry trade publications with word spreading about Phil Cornish's curation in Kanye's Sunday Service in pop culture outlets
DAZED
and
GQ.
To celebrate the long-anticipated expansion to NYC, Jammcard will bring their trademark
JammJam
event to the city this Wednesday, October 2nd, in Manhattan! This will be a special event for many reasons, including a performance by New York's own,
The Lesson gk
. Other recent JammJams have featured
Lauren Jauregui
and
George Clinton
. The Lesson gk held a weekly residency in New York for 7 years. After taking the last year and a half to tour/work with other artists and themselves, the JammJam will be their return homecoming show in NYC! There will be a bunch of special guest performers as well, but make sure to come and join Lenny "the Ox", Julian "J3PO" Pollack, Nicholas Semrad, J. Hoard, PhaseOne, Christian Almiron, David Cutler and the Jammcard fam for an epic, collaborative show.
This is an invite-only event and we have limited remaining press spots available. To attend, please RSVP here.
