Our luncheon will include a memorable program honoring veterans, past and present, as we express our gratitude to those who have served and sacrificed for our country.

What could be more appropriate for Veterans Day than to have a speaker from an organization whose mission is "To Take Care of Those Left Behind"?

Hal Weatherman serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Patriot Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting military families, particularly the children and spouses of fallen, wounded, injured and ill service members.

The Patriot Foundation provides educational scholarships and other assistance to families who have made significant sacrifices in service to our country. Its leadership includes distinguished retired military officers and community leaders committed to honoring America's military families.

Hal is no stranger to MRW: An excellent speaker, he has appeared at our luncheons several times, including when he ran for Lt. Governor in 2024 and when he founded an election integrity project after the 2020 election. We look forward to learning more about the great work of the Patriot Foundation.

Toys for needy military families

MRW always keeps our military families in mind - and especially so at Christmas!

In order to help low-income military families at Fort Bragg give their kids a great Christmas, we are collecting toys this month.

Please bring in new, unwrapped children's toys - for all ages.

Ideas:

Gift cards to Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc.

Children's toys

Sports equipment

Games

Art supplies

No cancellations after November 4. If not cancelled by this date, you will be charged for the meal and should send your $39 check to MRW at P.O. Box 3654, Pinehurst, NC 28374 or reimburse us online here. If you paid for your reservation online, your payment will not be reimbursed.
