On Saturday, January 23rd, Le Du's Wines will be hosting their first major tasting of 2016...for
Le Du's Wines
will be featuring a selection of 40 wines, from all over the world, made by female winemakers. And the best part, 100% of the ticket sales will go directly to Unleashed!
It is a brave new world for women in wine. A generation ago, a woman winemaker was a rare and bold phenomenon. Now, we are pleased to say some of the best wines in the world are being made by women.
Unleashed Advisory Board member and Le Du's Wines General Manager, JT Robertson, is hosting the event. When asked why he wanted to sponsor this event, JT said:
On a personal level, I came to Unleashed through the dogs. I adopted my Wesley from Unleashed and have since become a consistent foster for newly rescued puppies looking for forever homes. After learning of their main mission, to create a new generation of female leaders free of the often invisible but pernicious constraints of a patriarchal society, I immediately began hatching plans of how I could help. I was raised by strong, brilliant women who were laboring in a world which told them to sit down and shut up. I often think to myself what could have happened if the right person had come along and helped them see their own power. That's what Unleashed does, every day, in dozens of schools across New York.
