Dr. Lottes will also engage attendees in a discussion about 'food as medicine' and get feedback on how the CMA's Culinary Medicine community can continue to learn about and enjoy healthy fare.

This event will be virtual so you can cook along at home. Our initial event will be free to members and non-members (future events will have a $10 charge for non-members.)

Summer Salad Peaches & Tomatoes with Feta and Basil

Grocery List

  • 2 fresh, ripe peaches (preferably southern peaches)
  • 2 large tomatoes – heirloom are best
  • 1 Shallot
  • 1 small bunch of fresh basil leaves
  • 2 ounces of crumbled feta cheese
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • balsamic vinegar
  • honey
  • Kosher or sea salt
  • freshly ground black pepper 
Equipment List
  • Cutting board
  • Chef’s knife
  • knife
  • serrated knife (optional)
  • small bowl to collect food scraps
To make the dressing:
  • small bowl and whisk OR small mason jar with lid paring

To serve the salad:
  • Large plate or platter
