Dear Fellow Members of The Virginia Bar Association and Guests:
I look forward to seeing you at the 135th Annual Meeting of The Virginia Bar Association at the Williamsburg Lodge! There will be many opportunities to reconnect with lifelong friends and make new acquaintances.
Start the meeting off right by attending the Thursday evening Opening Reception and enjoying the warm Williamsburg hospitality. You’ll feel that sense of community and camaraderie that makes the VBA so special.
Our theme this year is “Building the Law Firm of the Future.” You will hear how law practice will be changing and how VBA members and their firms can successfully navigate that change. Look for future-oriented General Sessions, forward-looking section presentations, and numerous substantive MCLE programs that are practical and useful. Please check the program for times and topics.
I hope you will also fit in time with your colleagues at the social events, including the Friday evening banquet. Saturday morning begins with the Annual Business Meeting with complimentary full breakfast, where we thank all who have served the association in the last year and welcome new leadership. All Past Presidents in attendance will join me and the VBA Board as we install Kimberlee Harris Ramsey as the VBA’s 137th president. I look forward to the great things ahead under Kim’s leadership!
As my term nears its end, I especially want to thank my family—my wife Sarah and my daughters Zoey and Piper—and my law firm, Crenshaw, Ware & Martin, for all their support.
And I thank you. The VBA is an organization that relies on the commitment and passion of our membership. Please know much I appreciate all that you and colleagues like you have done to make this year a success and to position the VBA for the future.
Very truly yours,
|
