Celebrate the completion of this transformative project!
The City of Gainesville’s Wild Spaces & Public Places program and the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department are thrilled to announce completion of the Clarence R. Kelly Community Center & Park. Please join us for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration. The ceremony will be held on the park’s event lawn followed by self-guided tours of the new 3,800 square foot community center. To view photos of the community center and park,click here.
View the center’s two large multipurpose event rooms, catering kitchen, office, game room, activity rooms, computer lab, lobby and reception area. Dress comfortably to enjoy the outdoor space which includes a new playground, adult fitness equipment, an event lawn, walking trail, garden learning lab, lighted basketball court and landscaping.
The event will feature light refreshments and children’s activities. Come and commemorate the new center and park at an opening celebration on Juneteenth—part of the City of Gainesville's month-longJourney to Juneteenthcelebration.

This project was made possible by the Wild Spaces & Public Places half-cent sales tax. Collected from January 2017 to December 2024, the sales tax will continue to create, improve and maintain parks and recreational facilities and acquire and improve environmentally-sensitive lands.
