Classroom Spotlight

You might have expected this newsletter to be all about books, but our preschool students have been learning how to read signs.

Different signs have different meanings. Are they safety signs or are the informational signs? Students took a little walk around the school to explore and count how many signs they could find.

One student said "We can't park there. That's a handicap sign, for people who need extra help. It's to keep them safe."

We loved seeing the different signs our students drew and why they used certain colors and bold shapes. One things for certain, these students are excited to read and keep one another safe.

Service Spotlight

Primrose School in Longmont has been a key contributor to stocking our student's bookshelves.

Every year, Primrose students pick out some of the books that they love and have outgrown or want to share with someone else. This year they donated over 600 books which allowed for our classes to pick out a few that they were excited to read together and each student to pick out two books to bring home.

We are so grateful for this partnership and love seeing our little plums excited for the next chapter.

Imagination Library

A special thank you to the Boulder Rotary Club for working with Mile High United Way to assist families in our Home Based program to be recipients of The Imagination Library.

Our families participation has been funded by St. Stephen's Longmont and allows each family to be gifted quality books for children ages 0-5. What a gift to receive new stories each month!
