Who knew we'd ever be tempted to hoard toilet paper and make the conscious choice to distance ourselves from one another? The impact of Covid-19 continues to stir up unsettling emotions in every one of us, especially the high-risk and most vulnerable in our community.
While our young adults at Ready for Life Brevard are strong and resilient, they also fall into this high-risk and vulnerable category.
Many are searching for stability in housing, employment, health, and social acceptance. These crises don't go away, they often get worse during a crisis like Covid-19. The mission of Ready For Life Brevard to
provide support, resources and guidance former foster care youth need to transition successfully to adulthood is now more critical than ever.
In fact, we expect the number of young people we serve as well as their emergency needs to grow significantly during this time. We are doing everything we can to continue to assist them, but we need your help!
Today our skill center is technically closed; but that has not stopped the critical services Ready for Life offers. Youth are still receiving one on one mentoring, we will be setting up zoom meetings to continue tutoring and they are still receiving critical help with housing as well as a trusted, listening ear for social and emotional support.
