Dear Friend,
The arts shouldn't only be for families who can afford them. At HSA, they aren't -- and that's because of you.
As Board Co-Chairs, we see firsthand what happens when a community of believers surrounds an institution like this one. What you've helped make possible this year speaks for itself:
- 17 graduating pre-professional students are all headed to top-notch universities with over $750K+ in total college scholarships awarded across the class.
- 14 school and community outreach programs, and 39 partnerships with community centers and arts organizations with names you might recognize (Guggenheim, Madison Square Garden and the Museum of the City of New York, to name a few)
- And most importantly: 2,000+ students served
This past year, HSA distributed $603,500 in scholarships across our pre-professional training program -- making world-class, conservatory-style arts training completely free for the students who need it most -- plus $62,610 in financial aid and merit scholarships for our general enrollment students.
Serious training in even one discipline at a comparable institution runs $3,000-$8,000 a year. HSA delivers that same caliber of instruction at a fraction of the cost, because of the community that stands behind it.
That community includes you.
As we approach the close of our fiscal year on June 30, we are working to raise $75,000 to sustain and expand these opportunities for the next generation of young artists. We're asking you to consider a fiscal year-end stretch gift to help us close it strong.
| $500 |
Brings a master teaching artist into the classroom |
| $1,000 |
Funds two weeks of Summer Camp for a young artist |
| $2,500 |
Supports a student internship -- real-world exposure to arts and culture careers |
| $5,000 |
Provides new computers for five animation students or costumes for an entire theater production |
Every dollar goes directly into the work -- the lessons, the rehearsals, the performances, the moments that change a young person's life.
You're part of how it starts here. Help us make sure it keeps going.
Please make your gift before June 30.
