CRISIS RESPONSE AND MANAGEMENT COURSE (ACTIVE NOW)

Course participants will learn how to respond to and manage a crisis. As a result of this course, you will be able to:

Prepare for a crisis and understand the role of the board and need-to-know individuals
Navigate interactions with the media during a crisis
Appropriately update your website in response to a crisis
Understand the legal requirements for reporting and responding to abuse of children and vulnerable adults
Assist and support volunteers and staff in reporting and responding to abuse
Examine best practices for documenting a crisis
Identify and develop a strong crisis response plan
Analyze how crisis can be avoided, and develop concrete policies for protection and prevention
Recognize the value of internal investigations while understanding when you should do them and begin identifying procedures for internal investigations in your organization

BE A SUPERHERO – PLAN TO PROTECT ^® YOUTH ON-LINE TRAINING (COMING SOON)

This course is designed for youth ages 13 to 17 who work with children. Whether they help in the nursery, are a reading buddy, babysitter, helper in a classroom, this training is designed to encourage young people to be a superhero in the life of a child by providing a safe and secure environment. The course is sensitively taught with our audience in mind. The modules include awareness of harm, how to protect and manage information you learn about children that are being harmed or that you believe need protection, and how to prevent harm from happening, creating a safe environment.
