We have been busy here at St. Ambrose Housing Aid Center doing what we do and a whole lot more!! There is too much to cover in one newsletter, so here is a timely reminder to VOTE, a little taste of one of our exciting programs and then, over the next couple of weeks we will share the rest of the news!

Not too Late to Register to Vote

This year's voter registration deadline is October 16th but you can also register and vote in person during early voting (October 25-Nov. 1st). Here is the link to Maryland's online voter registration and absentee ballot request: https://voterservices.elections.maryland.gov/OnlineVoterRegistration/InstructionsStep1

Did you know that in 2016, Maryland state law was changed so that people who have been convicted of a felony can now restore their voter rights, even if they are still on probation or parole. That and other information can be found here: https://elections.maryland.gov/voter_registration/

Host Homes Take Off!

You may remember that we have been expanding our Homesharing program to help youth experiencing homelessness in Baltimore. The Point Source Youth - Baltimore Pilot project completed its first year and Baltimore stepped up to make it real.

The St. Ambrose Host Home Team recruited and trained 27 hosts during 6 unique weekend sessions and some of those hosts provided homes for 10 young people.
