NEW IBERIA, La. ---The Bayou Teche Museum will hold another of its increasingly popular Bridge Parties on Monday, May 6, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the museum (131 E. Main St.).
The party includes lunch and other refreshments. Bring your favorite partner, $25 per person. Prizes for high score, 1st & 2nd place plus door prizes will be available.
The Bayou Teche Museum is a state-of-the-art museum with a permanent collection of artifacts and memorabilia from the region telling the story of a growing city, its people, culture and industry, all centered around the "snake-like" curves of the Bayou Teche.
Explore the Attakapas and Chitimacha tribes that settled along the banks of the Bayou Teche, learn how the sugar and salt industries transformed the area, and view the late George Rodrigue’s studio just as he left it—including the painting he was working on and the paint-splattered floor. This attraction participates in the
New Iberia Historic District Pass.
All proceeds benefit the New Iberia Museum Foundation and their work on expansion into the adjacent Doc Voorhies Wing.
