So many great themes and participants. We appreciate everyone's support.
ECyberMission 6th GRADE SUCCESS!

eCybermission is a web-based science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) competition for students in grades six through nine that promotes self-discovery and enables all students to recognize the real-life applications of STEM. Teams of three or four students are instructed to ask questions (for science) or define problems (for engineering), and then construct explanations (for science) or design solutions (for engineering) based on identified problems in their community. Students compete for State, Regional, and National Awards. The U.S. Army Educational Outreach Program is committed to answering the Nation's need for increased national STEM literacy and to expanding STEM education opportunities across the country to open doors to new career paths for American students that lead to a brighter tomorrow.

First Place
Team: The Blonde Bandits (Lauren W, Abigail S, Meghan M, Madison S) The team investigated and research food allergies. They created allergy free cookies that students with allergies can eat and the cookies tasted like the non-allergic ones, so the students would enjoy them.

Second Place:
Team: Do You Brownie Sis? (Savannah M, Sofia D, Juliet P, Rian H)
They investigated vitamin deficiency in kids. In their research, they discovered that only 18% of children get their daily dose of vitamin D, and about 1 billion people worldwide lack vitamin D. This was important because in Arizona everyone wears sunscreen to prevent getting sunburnt. They created a tasty type of brownie with the daily require amount of vitamin D in it.

Third Place/Honorable Mention:
Team: Team 10 (Jack B, Thomas W, Dylan W, Tyler M)
The team research bacteria on foods. In their research, they learned that about 3,000 people die from food poisoning, 48 million get sick, and 128,000 are hospitalized. Some illnesses of food poisoning are salmonella, Norwalk virus, and. E. coli. They created an antibacterial spray that would kill bacteria on fruits and vegetables without having chemical ingredients.
