YIS Kol Hanearim Tallit 5783
Deadline extended to August, 26th

Please click here to print the form.
Over the years, we have maintained a beautiful tradition in our shul on Simchat Torah. You have all witnessed the Kol Ha'Nearim tallit that is used as a chuppah for the Kol Ha'Nearim aliyah. Calling our children and grandchildren up to the Torah under the canopy adorned with their individual names functions as a permanent record of the vitality of our community.

We are pleased to offer the opportunity to add the names of your children on this beautiful tallit.

Each child's individual name is embroidered in Hebrew below your English family name.

The cost to add a name is $72 per child based on no more than two names per child.

For those with more than two names (i. e. Avraham Yitzchak Yaakov), there will be an additional charge of $3 per letter beginning with the third name.

The submission deadline has been extended to August 26th.

Additional Sponsorship Opportunities
Box of names on the Tallit - $360 up to 4 children's names

Tallit Pole - $500 up to 4 children's names

Kol HaNearim Aliyah - $500 up to 4 children's names

Please click here to complete the form by August 26th.

Please click here to make your payment. (Choose: "Kol Ha'Nearim Tallit 5783")

We would once again like to thank Emily and Alan Rosenfeld, who so kindly dedicated this tallit to our synagogue in loving memory of Martin Rosenfeld.
If you have any questions, please call Marsha Lustig in the shul office (914) 636-8686 x 101.

SHUL SCHOOL LITE 2022-2023

This year we will once again be offering a "Shul School Lite" program during the 2022-2023 academic year in the late afternoon once a week beginning in September. Our “Shul School Lite” program is geared towards boys and girls who are currently in public or private schools that are outside the traditional Jewish Day School system. It affords the ability for everyone in our communal orbit to receive engaging Jewish enrichment classes taught by our Rabbinic and educational staff.

We offer two groups during "Shul School Lite" in which we will have fun, interactive learning experiences. One group will be for 4th-5th grade and the other will be for 6th-8th grade. We cover topics such as the weekly Parsha, Jewish holidays, and the big questions of Judaism.

The sessions will be led by dynamic educational professionals: Rabbi Nuriel Klinger, Edna Krausz and our Bnei Akiva Shlichot, Reut and Racheli. The cost is $550/child for the year. To register see below and for more information on the exact timing of each group please contact Rabbi Klinger, at nuri.klinger@gmail.com.

If you are looking for a more extensive Hebrew School Program for your child, there is one at the local Chabad run by Rochel Butman. For more information on that program please speak to Rochel Butman ( butmanrb@gmail.com ), or visit their website at www.alefbetschool.com.
