YIS Solidarity Mission Photos

Landing at a nearly empty Ben-Gurion and collecting our over 40 duffel bags of donated supplies.

Meeting Herzel, the Gabbai/Rabbi of a small Shul across from the police station, who shared his miraculous story of how he was shot the morning of October 7th on the way to shul and was saved after several hours, due to his car being at Shul, only because he drove to Shul on Friday night to bring candies/sweets for the Chag. We then davened an inspiring Mincha in that very Shul, the first time that the Shul has been used since Friday night, October 6th. Herzl made the Beracha of שעשה לי נס במקום הזה - upon returning to the site of his miraculous salvation.

At Netzer Chazani, a community that was established by evacuees of Gush Katif (with significant funding from YIS!) to help with the cucumber plants in their hothouses.

Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva and visited with wounded soldiers in the rehab unit and emergency room. Hearing their stories of heroism and giving them our hugs, love, letters, Chizuk and appreciation.
