Community Calendar

Do a mitzvah: Young Israel of Scarsdale and UJA-Federation are co-sponsoring the Annual Post-Pesach Food Drive Monday, April 17 through Wednesday, April 19 to benefit the food pantry at HOPE Community Services in New Rochelle (a UJA grantee). Bring your everyday non-perishable groceries and unopened leftover Pesach groceries (no matzah, glass containers), along with cleaning supplies and toiletries in bags or boxes to the first classroom downstairs. YIS is joining with other local synagogues in this mitzvah. Demand at food pantries has spiked by more than 67% over pre-pandemic levels.
