Young Lions!!! 11/17/24
Psalm 34:6-10 (KJV)
6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.
I write today in the hope/PRAYER that this reaches ANY and ALL “poor men/women!”
I LOVE the phrase written in Bill and Gloria Gaither's classic tune, HOLY GROUND:
“IF YOU HAVE A NEED I KNOW WHO HAS THE ANSWER........................
REACH OUT AND CLAIM IT, CHILD,
YOU ARE STANDING ON HOLY GROUND!”
IF you feel YOU qualify as a “poor man/woman” this sermon is for YOU.
OUR Bible is filled with PROMISES-PROMISES of God's PROVISION!!!
Matthew 6:25-26 (KJV)
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Oftentimes-TOO OFTEN-I am tempted to WORRY about tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jesus states emphatically:
Matthew 6:34 (KJV)
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
To again quote the above writers:
“Many things about tomorrow I don't seem to understand.
But I know who holds tomorrow And I know who holds my hand.”
But when I do find myself WORRYING over tomorrow, it takes all my courage to cast aside my “FEAR of tomorrow!”

How many times has God “DELIVERED” you from IMPOSSIBLE situations????
Is God the SAME “yesterday and today?????”
Hebrews 13:8 (KJV)
8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Just in this past week or so, I have “ALMOST” been involved in at least tow harrowing near car crashes, that I know of-smile?????
In my 73 years of existence, I have ALMOST died/been killed MANY times, I have ALMOST been destitute/homeless, I have ALMOST had terrible diseases...... too numerous to list here today.
BUT..............................BUT GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Again, please take a breath, REMEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
