IN OUR PRAYERS

  • We give thanks for the blessings of this nation and for all who have worked, and continue to work, for liberty, justice, and the common good. As we celebrate Independence Day, may we be reminded that true freedom is found in the love we show, the welcome we extend, and the justice we pursue. May God strength us to be people of kindness, compassion, and courage, working together so that freedom, equality, and peace may become a lived reality for all.

  • We give thanks for the gift of friendship that unites your church across oceans and cultures. We are thinking about Rev. Bynum as he shares the Word in Scotland this month, and we give thanks for Rev. Calum Stark who will be leading us in worship. May both congregations be enriched as we celebrate the unity of God's church around the world!

  • Nursery caregiver Delmi Zapet, a long-time caregiver in our church nursery, has shared that she recently lost her full-time weekday job. In addition to a request for prayers for her and her family, Delmi asks that if anyone knows of possible employment opportunities she would be very grateful. Please reach out to Rev. Anna Grace Claunch or to Betty Roodal in our church office with any recommendations.

  • Diane and Richard Williams invite the congregation to join them in prayer for Diane's friend Noreen, who is recovering from surgery on her back. May God grant her courage and quick healing.

COMPASSION CAMP NEEDS YOU!

Compassion Camp is one of the most meaningful ministries we offer to the community, and we need your help! The success of camp, and our ability to provide a safe, welcoming, and meaningful experience for every child depends on the support of our congregation. If you have any availability during the week of 8/17--8/20, WE NEED YOU!

Rev. Stark and Family Have Arrived!

The pulpit exchange that will send Rev. Bynum to Scotland and bring Rev. Calum Stark has begun!. While Calum and his family have plans to travel during the week, some of you may want to reach out to welcome them or even to invite them out for coffee or a meal. If so, the best way to reach Calum will be via his email address, which is revcstark@gmail.com. Thank you for the spirit of hospitality that you are already putting forward!

Be sure to mark your calendar to join us for a special celebratory Coffee Hour on July 12th.
