THANKSGIVING OFFERING

Dear LAC Member,

Thanksgiving is a time for us to gather with family and friends and to count our many blessings. It’s a time to give thanks for all that is good in our own lives and to give to others who may not be as fortunate. It is in this tradition of caring that we express our love and support for people in need in our own community.

As in past years, the Thanksgiving offering here at LAC will be used to support the vital efforts of several local food-assistance organizations. These include HOPE Community Services and the Larchmont Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force. The food they offer makes a tangible difference in the lives of people with critical needs right here in our own communities. Please use the blue mission envelopes in the pews or send checks marked “Thanksgiving Offering” to the church office.

Our Thanksgiving offering gives us the opportunity to make this a holiday in which those who struggle in our community can feel the loving comfort of others. Thank you for your faithful and generous support of people in need.

Wishing you peace and grace in this holiday season.

ADVENT & CHRISTMAS CHOIR

It's time for our Advent and Christmas Choir. No auditions are necessary. Open to all HS to adults. Rehearsals begin now. Every Wednesday at 7:30 in Russell Hall -- 11/12, 11/19, 12/3, 12/10, 12/17. The choir will be singing in Worship 11/30, 12/7, 12/21, and Christmas Eve at 8 PM. You do not have to attend all of these.

Contact Dkostner@lacny.org, if you are interested, as well as for a link to the music of the season.

Special Christmas Bell Choir

Do you want to uplift our Christmas Family Worship at 5 PM in a special way? Consider joining our handbell choir -- a lovely LAC tradition poised for a comeback.

We need at least four people to commit to these rehearsal dates: Thursdays, December 4, 11, 18, from 7-8 pm in room 201. Wednesday, December 24 from 4pm.

Musical offering will be featured during the 5 PM Christmas Eve Worship Service.

No experience is necessary. Instruction will be provided. The bells require special handling, so while young people are invited to join 6th grade and above, we ask that all who elect to participate will treat the bells and the process with respect.

Ability to read music, even at a rudimentary level, is a bonus, but not required! It is important, though, to commit to all three rehearsals!

CONTACT Dkostner@lacny.org if you are interested.

HELP US "HANG THE GREENS" FOR CHRISTMAS

One of the blessings of Advent and Christmas is seeing our sanctuary adorned with the beauty and symbols of the season. If you are interested in helping with those decorations, please email us at lacoffice@lacny.org.

We will follow up with volunteers later with dates, times, and additional information
