CAEP 19-20 Allocations Reduced Due to Governor's May Revise
As a result of the governor’s May revise, the California Adult Education Program (CAEP) 19-20 allocation will be reduced by $1,043,000.

The state CAEP Office will adjust each regional consortium’s allocation in NOVA to reflect the cost-of-living adjustment from 3.46 percent to 3.26 percent. Each consortium must certify the amended allocation to its recently submitted Consortium Fiscal Administration Declaration (CFAD) in NOVA by June 30, 2019 .

The allocation amendment must be certified by all members. In most cases, the reduction is less than $10,000 (for larger consortia, it’s more). The California Department of Education and the Chancellor’s Office recommend that members that have any unspent 17-18 CAEP funds as of the recent Q2 reporting in NOVA, take the reduction of funds for the consortium. We understand this is still a local decision and members would have to decide who should take the reduction using the same decision-making process used in the initial CFAD certification.

A webinar that will explain the allocation change and walk through the amendment steps in NOVA has been scheduled for tomorrow (5/23), from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Data and Accountability Funding Update
A reminder that data and accountability funded activities must end by June 30, 2019 . Consortium leads will receive their passwords this week (in case you forgot).

The second expenditure report for these funds is due by July 31, 2019, with the final report due by Aug. 26, 2019 (using the old Chancellor's Office MIS Webex fiscal system). The second expense report summary should be a high-level write-up on how the consortium met its work plan objectives.

Please remember to complete the data and accountability Practice with Promise form that feeds into our Practice with Promise website. In order to successfully close out these funds, a promising practice must be submitted. For more information,  see the links on our website  to data and accountability information.
