Lunch MOB!

Thank you to all who came out to Lunch MOB at The Red Fox Tavern this week! Lunch MOB is simple – come as you are able, order off the menu, pay your own tab, and have lunch with some old and new friends! Watch for details on the next one soon!

Photos to come!

This week was our 4th annual Women’s Symposium and Expo and it did not disappoint! We spent the day connecting, learning, celebrating, eating, and shopping! Thank you to all who made the day possible!

ICYMI

In last week’s Access & Issues meeting we did an election recap and discussed several other items, including the Chevron Ruling (thank you, Loren Solfest of Doughtery, Molenda, Solfest, Hills & Bauer P.A.), 2025 Property Taxes, and 2025 Medicare Changes through the Inflation Reduction Act (thank you Bob Curtis, Bob Curtis Agency Farmers Insurance). Access & Issues takes a break in December, but if you would like to get on the 2025 email reminder list, email me.

What a turn out!

Thank you to everyone who came out for our annual joint Chamber after hours! We had a night of food, fun, fellowship, and prizes of course! A special thank you to Valleywood Golf Course for hosting, Las Tortillas for the incredible appetizer spread, and to Dakota Electric for being a long-time presenting sponsor of this annual multi-chamber event.

Future 101 was a hit!

This week we hosted our annual Future 101: Preparing for Life After High School event in partnership with Lakeville Area Schools. During the course of 3-hours families visited the resource fair and attended up to three breakout sessions that help them and their student explore post high school paths, learn what is needed to be successful, and how to properly prepare for success in each. Thank you to all of the members who help to make this night possible by either sitting on a panel, or volunteering to be a room lead!

2024 Businessperson of the Year

Your 2024 Lakeville Chamber of Commerce Businessperson of the Year is....Steve Allen, GM of Brackett's Crossing Country Club! Steve was selected by a committee of past honorees, some of whom surprised him at Rotary this week to tell him the good news! The group agreed that this is a very well deserved, and probably long overdue, honor for the man who takes such good care of all of us year after year. Steve will be honored at our Annual Dinner on January 30th. There will be more to come on Steve in the coming weeks, and you can get your Annual Dinner tickets by clicking the event image below.

Pictured (LtR): Tony McDonald (McDonald Eye Care), Beth Kohlnhofer (Kohlnhofer Insurance), Gary and Jane Pahl (Pahl's Market), Kevin Delk (Delmar), STEVE ALLEN!, Karen & Ken Wentworth (HOBO, Chemquest, Triton), Bob Curtis (Bob Curtis Agency Farmers Insurance), Carl Wahlstrom (Retired ISD194 Superintendent), Steve Volavka (Ensemble Creative), Tom Mork (Lakeview Bank), Bob Vogel (New Market Bank).
