On top of the various info booths, individual tours, and small-scale workshops 5Heart has hosted this summer, we've been out and about spreading the word about the benefits of composting and using Premium Worm Castings! Take a look below at everything we've been up to for the past few months:

July 4

Independence Day Parade

Did you see the 5Heart float at the Saginaw County Independence Day parade? We showcased our electric tractor, our first day camp, and our one and only Earthworm Queen! We look forward to participating again in next year's parade!

Farmer's Market Booth

Thomas Township

Find the 5Heart Earthworm Farm booth at the Thomas Township Farmer's Market from 4pm-7pm every Monday until October 9th! We'll be selling our Premium Worm Castings and educating others on the benefits of using worm castings in their gardens. If you're in the area, feel free to say hi!

5Heart Summer Day Camp

Attendees at our Summer Day Camp had a blast on the farm! From learning about worm anatomy to the compost food web to even taking a walk through nature, the day was full of fun and educational activities for our special guests.

We welcomed the public to take a tour of our farm and its operations! Members of conservation districts, municipal officials, and many others stopped by to see the earthworms and watch our Eco-Mixer in action.

2nd Annual 5Heart Earthworm Festival

Come down to 5Heart Earthworm Farm for a FREE, exciting, and educational event for the whole family!

Our 2nd Annual Earthworm Festival will include a variety of activities and entertainment including tours of the farm and our operations, composting and worm bin workshops, a petting zoo, children’s activities and a children’s workshop, face painting, local crafters such as Crochet by Jolene, info booths, a Good to Go food truck featuring delicious wraps, worm casting prize drawings, an E-Van and E-Tractor showcase, live entertainment featuring The JR Band, and Premium Worm Castings and 5Heart merch for sale!

This event will take place on Saturday, October 21 from 10am-5pm rain or shine, so we hope to see you there! Be sure to follow our event on Facebook for the full activity agenda, vendor list, and more as the event grows closer!

Halloween Bash

Trunk or Treating

Visit the 5Heart booth at the Halloween Bash Trunk or Treating Fundraiser event hosted by Midland Recyclers! This event takes place on Sunday, October 29 from 1pm-4pm with inside and outside stations where trick-or-treaters can get candy and goodies. There will also be a silent auction, a bounce house, Halloween and recycling-themed games, and a food truck!
