Integrated Pest Management Seedling Starter & Spring-Wow Outdoor Planter Workshops

with Well PlantEd

Are you ready to Learn with the Worms? Gather your friends, grab your gardening gloves, and join us at 5Heart Earthworm Farm on Saturday, April 29th as we host two fun and educational workshops to welcome in spring with Well PlantEd.

Integrated Pest Management Seedling Starter Workshop

9:30am - Noon

Cost: $25

In this workshop, you’ll learn about natural pest control and the best plants to use in and around your garden to keep pests at bay. You’ll have your hands in the dirt and sow, thin, and transplant seedlings to get a jumpstart on your garden plans. All attendees will go home with 4 trays (12 cells each) that you sow. Additionally, you will get a variety of more established plants that are in the thinning and transplant stages.

All supplies included, PLUS a free sample of 5Heart Premium Worm Castings!

Spring-Wow Outdoor Planter Workshop

1:30pm - 4pm

Cost: $40

Break in your garden gloves while you create a personalized pop of color for your porch or patio. Don’t have a pot? A limited number of pots will be available for purchase on the day of the workshop.

Spring hardy plants and planting medium (enough for a large 16” pot) included, PLUS a free sample of 5Heart Premium Worm Castings!

Joining us for both workshops? Hang out at the Farm for lunch and a tour of our worm farm operation. Pack a lunch or order a box lunch when you register. We’d love to show you what we do!

Worm Bin Workshop

Frankenmuth Farmer's Market

Worm bins can reduce the amount of food waste you throw out and even produce a rich source of natural nutrients for your plants! In this workshop, you'll put together a ready-to-use indoor worm bin for your home, school or office. You will learn how to properly maintain it, how to harvest the castings, and more! Independence Day Parade

Birch Run

Join us in celebrating Independence Day at the only parade in Saginaw County on July 4th. This will be our first time participating in the annual event held in our hometown of Birch Run.
