Receiving Food Scraps from Pilot Food Scrap Collection Program

Bay City and Saginaw areas

We're proud to receive vegetative food scraps from the pilot Food Scrap Collection program offered by Iris Waste Diversion Specialists. Not only do our worms love the extra nutrients, but by playing a critical role in this program we have helped to reduce methane emissions from local landfills and return what came from the earth back to the earth!

Barn Construction Complete!

5Heart Earthworm Farm

How many people do you know that spoil their earthworms? If you know us, that makes one! Coinciding with Earthworm Day, the completion of our brand-new worm barn was celebrated at the 5Heart Earthworm Festival & Open House.

Now complete with heated floors, finished walls, full insulation, and even some interpretive signage, our worm barn is ready to start supplying you with Premium Worm Castings!

Celebrating Healthy Worms, Soil & Environment

Attendance was high, the weather was perfect, and everyone had an all-around great time! Our first-annual 5Heart Earthworm Festival & Open House was a major success, with guests attending from all over - even some from hours away! Attendees had a variety of options on how they wanted to spend their time at the free festival, from composting and worm bin workshops to checking out the vendors to enjoying some live entertainment! Inside the barn, guests could interact with our earthworms and the worm beds, as well as see a Premium Worm Castings harvest in action.

Thank you to everyone who attended the festival and showed interest in our sustainable operations. We couldn't maintain it without you! We can't wait to host an even bigger and better second-annual Earthworm Festival next fall. We'll see you there!

Gummy worms and free samples of our Premium Worm Castings were given away at the Midland Recyclers Trunk-or-Treat event the day before Halloween. Just like the 5Heart Earthworm Festival & Open House, attendance was high and we were able to see lots of excited faces... not to mention all the fun costumes as well!
