Summer Lunch Program Serves up the Food… and FUN!
As the Frisco and Frisco ISD community continues to grow, so must Frisco Family Services. What started out as a program to provide local school-aged kids with lunches and snack packs during summer break has turned into something much more— a fun and community-focused experience for participants and their families.
While school is out, Frisco Family Services partners with community supporters and volunteers to provide food and activities each day at four different sites. Activities range from science experiments to canvas painting to water play, all to encourage socialization among the kids and their families. This year’s program began on June 4, and 9 weeks and nearly 10,000 lunches and snack packs later , Frisco Family Services held their annual Grand Finale event to celebrate a hunger-free summer! The fun and sense of community were amplified as more than 300 kids and their families came out and had a blast as they got their faces and nails painted, made balloon animals, slime and tie-dye shirts, played kickball, and enjoyed snow cones, Frito-Lay snacks, and free books. A raffle even provided a handful of kids with a brand new bike!
“Thank you so much for making sure my son wasn’t hungry, and for providing him a place to go and be a part of something he really enjoyed,” said Arty, father of Frisco Family Services Summer Lunch participant. “If it were up to him, Summer Lunch would be held all year round!”

Back2School Fun Fair

Frisco Family Services' Back2School Fun Fair ensures students in our community are able to start the school year off with success!
August 6th was a special day where nearly 300 eligible Frisco ISD students  (grades K-12) received a new backpack, required school supplies, new t-shirts, socks, underwear and tennis shoes thanks to Amica Insurance, new jackets thanks to Macy's, haircuts by Projects Beauty, vision screenings by Esslior Of America and more.

Because of you, students in our community can start the school year with all the essentials and confidence needed!

Even parents benefited with numerous resources and helpful vendors who participated this year.
A very special thank you to all the vendors, volunteers and organizations who participated!
Board of Directors Spotlight - Molly Bullington
We would like to take a moment to recognize a member of our very valuable Board of Directors, Molly Bullington who is in her 4 th year on the Board. Originally from Frenches Mill (just east of Athens) Alabama, Molly has been employed as a Registered Nurse and a Nursing Instructor. Having volunteered in numerous capacities over the years including youth leader, fundraiser, and Bible facilitator, she is definitely a lifelong volunteer with a passion for community service and giving back.

Molly’s commitment to making a difference, is demonstrated through her involvement in all aspects of Frisco Family Services, recently stating, “I believe that you cannot make effective change on the outside of any organization. Together, the board has the capacity to affect a majority of the future directions of Frisco Family Services from a financial, marketing, productivity, legal and moral standpoint.”

What really excites Molly about Frisco Family Services is that “our organization serves those in crisis in my own local community and functions in a way that allows the client to maintain and even grow, in dignity. Clients are provided assistance to meet their basic needs, as well as access to the tools necessary to help them get back on their feet and plan for a better future.”

Molly also enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 daughters and grandchildren, and considers herself to be “quite crafty” when it comes to making decorative items by hand. The best advice she has ever received is “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

We treasure each and every Board member, and are so grateful for their time and talents dedicated to ensuring the success of our clients and building a caring community.
