Welcome George Joseph "Joe" Mitchell!
Please join us as we welcome George Joseph "Joe" Mitchell , DeKalb representative, to the DeKalb County Community Foundation Board of Directors. Joe is Senior Pastor of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church and resides in DeKalb with his wife Andria and their three children. 

The Sycamore Depot Light Show
It’s back! We are excited to announce The Sycamore Depot Light Show is returning for another evening of artistry on the walls of the historic Sycamore Train Depot. Open to the public, The Light Show is just one of many 25 th  Anniversary celebration events planned for the Community Foundation (1993-2018).

Finding "the calm" in Estate Planning
Join us on Tuesday, April 24, along with featured presenter Michael Geis, for an educational day on estate planning .

Three sessions are offered. The lunch session is reserved for professional advisers. The two evening sessions are for the general public. Attendees will learn the importance of basic estate planning, not to be missed elements of an estate plan, lasting ways to benefit the community, and a deeper approach to planned living and family relationships.

25th Anniversary Sponsors
This year we are celebrating our 25 th Anniversary as a Community Foundation. Over the next few months we have planned a number of activities to Celebrate, Thank, and Give back to the community.  To assist with the cost of these activities and events , we are seeking a few one-time 25 th Anniversary Annual Sponsors to provide support.

Supporting Our Nonprofits
Donors from DeKalb County and all over the world can support local nonprofit organizations during Give DeKalb County on May 3, 2018. We're excited to celebrate the 5th anniversary of this 24-hour charitable giving day. bonus pool   of over $53,600 has been raised and each donation made is boosted by a percentage of these additional funds. 

YEP Alumni Update with Michael Hermes
Meet Michael Hermes, former Youth Engaged in Philanthropy (YEP) Grants Chair and a 2014 graduate of Sycamore High School. Recently, we reconnected and had a chance to catch up with Michael. So where is Michael today and what impact did the YEP program have on him?
